Description of program
In the Automotive Technology program, students are given instruction in automotive systems and the different parts of a vehicle. Students also learn electrical and electronics related to automotive systems as well as the newest autonomous systems connected to the newer vehicles on the road today.
If you enjoy working with your hands and have problem solving and analytical skills, you will excel in this profession.
A typical student will learn by involvement in detailed, hands-on projects, as well as analytical thinking and problem solving techniques.
This program is a great introduction to and preparation for the following careers:
Automotive Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanical Associate, Researcher, Shop Foreman, Team Leader, Auto Shop Owner, Automotive Parts Specialist, and many more.
Students can earn ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification, which is a nationally recognized certification that will guaranty you a position in the field in which you certify.
