Description

The Education and Training Academy will be introduced at Gadsden City High School in the fall of 2017. This exciting new program is intended to serve as a resource for students at GCHS who have an expressed interest in pursuing a career in education. Coursework includes Education and Training, Teaching I, Teaching II and Education and Training Internship. Students will be placed in classrooms within the Gadsden City Schools System to accumulate their observation hours. During their internship coursework, students will be placed in a classroom setting on a regular basis.

Examples of Educational Careers: Preschool, Elementary, or Secondary Teacher or Aide; Special Education Teacher or Aide; Child Care Director; Curriculum Development Specialist.
